Since its very beginnings Planika Decor has had one aim: equip houses and flats with a real fire system and at the same time relieve its users of all troubles and limitations involved such as a necessity to erect a chimney system, preparation of fuel as in the case of traditional fireplaces, removal of ash etc. The aim was attained by development and sale of a collection of Biofireplaces being products wholly developed and manufactured by Planika Decor./p>
Some time ago in the heart of the Australian interior, under the red Ayers Rock two tourists, Alfred Weilandt and Jerry Dabrowski (the company owners) were sitting by fire at night and listening to tales of the Aborigines about a mythical Epoch of Dreams when all people were free and happy. It was then that they decided to find a way to bring the magical atmosphere of that night spent by a fire into a contemporary home. At the same time they realised that they could not move away from civilization and a new category of products must meet the demands of a contemporary life style. Months spent on designing and testing finally resulted in a product which remarkably combines atavistic need to commune with fire with the beauty of form and comfort of use.
This is basically how the idea of Glass Fire was born in the other hemisphere thousands of kilometres away from here.
